Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham or Amrita University is a private deemed-university located in Coimbatore, India. It is a NAAC A++ accredited university and the 7th best university in India as per the NIRF Rankings 2023. AVV is a multi-campus, multi-disciplinary university with 15 schools spread across six campuses in the southern part of India. At present, AVV is offering 207 UG, PG, Doctoral, Integrated, Dual-Degree, and certification programs in Engineering, Management, Medical & Life Sciences, Arts & Humanities, and Social Sciences. BTech, MTech, and MBA are the three most popular courses at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Candidates seeking admission to the BTech program must appear for the JEE Main or AEEE entrance exam. Admissions to the MTech program are offered on the basis of GATE/PGCET/ TANCET/PGECET scores. MBA admissions are based on the CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/ GRE scores.

The highest package offered at AVV is INR 43.30 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 5.40 LPA. Some of the major recruiters are Amazon, Wipro, Dell, Samsung, Tech Mahindra, TCS, INFOSYS, ADANI, and many more.

The university has a placement cell that organizes various training sessions. Students who are eligible and opted for placements have more than one job offer, on average. Placements are facilitated by enhancing industry-academia association through frequent visits, interactions with the top management and facilitation of Faculty Development Programs, Student Visits, Industrial Training, and Project Guidance under the Corporate Action Plan. In 2019 several of our students obtain paid internships as a part of their PG program at leading companies such as Schlumberger, Microsoft, Intel, Daimler, etc. These internships last six months to one year and often lead to direct placements within their respective companies.
